According to the "What is Experimental" article, experimental film and avant-garde films go hand in hand. The ideas listed in the article discuss what makes an experimental film. It all makes sense, but I did not realize how deconstructed it was. Everything has some sort of order to it, but experimental film thrives on disorganization and the idea of it not necessarily making sense. I like that it is basically structured chaos.
What I like most about experimental film is how they get to their end results. How filmmakers are willing to permanently alter a strip of film to find something new in it. It is basically a science experiment but much more interesting and can be viewed by everyone if published.
